Temporary Covered Walkway
We have recently completed the temporary walkway and cover installation for the Mobile MRI Scanner unit situated at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen, Wales for the next two months.
Careful planning was required before attempting the installation as we had to ensure that any trauma patients could be transported via the covered temporary walkway and into the canopy covering the entrance to the Mobile MRI Scanner Unit as comfortably as possible.
Extra Care Installing Flooring
The contract involved installing a custom built wooden floor with extra thick carpet to ensure trolleys could be transported smoothly. A 60 degree bend was placed in the tunnel to line up the tunnel with the canopy cover and gutterings installed to weather-proof the structure. The main canopy covering the entrance to the Mobile MRI Scanner Unit had to be raised to accommodate the stairs and lift. Heating, lighting and emergency exits were finally installed ready for use.
Working Within Restricted Spaces
As you can see we were working with restricted space, the walkway had to negotiate buildings and a tree and all without blocking access to the car park
